Customized backside Progressive Lenses represent the very latest technology in Progressive lens design.
The progressive surface is transferred from the front of the lens (old style) to the BACK surface and is blended with the toric and spherical curves required by the patients RX. This creates a flatter, cosmetically more appealing lens and widens the patients field of vision and provides wider reading and distance areas.
Freeform progessives are manufactured on computer numerical controlled machines to achieve uparalleled curve accuracy. The subsequent polishing process results in vision system accuracies to 1/100th Diopter.
Also known as High Definition Progressives, these customized lenses feel as comfortable a single vision lenses, providing quick and easy visual adaptation.
